Hi

I just purchased Cross DJ Pro 1.5.2 for Android from play store. I am getting distortion and dropouts on my Samsung Galaxy Tab 12.2. i tried various combinations of audio settings without any improvement. When I move the Cross fade slider, there is distortion in the audio. None of the other audio players on the Samsung tablet have distortion.

On my Samsung note 3, there is no problem with the Cross DJ audio.

So the good news is you have seen it working great...

A few months ago a similar problem has been reported for a samsung tab, which is supposed to be fixed by a fix in android OS. Unfortunately MixVibes has no control on when (nor if) manufacturers implement this patch.

If you haven't used it that much there is a chance that the analyses still is being active. You could force analyses to run for the library so it isn't needed while playback.
Also make sure not to many other apps are active.

So updating the device would be the first suggestion, followed by the lowering of cpu usage (despite being way above minimum spec)

thank you for responding. The Tablet has the latest updates. and i tried pre-analysing some tracks and used them. I optimized the tablet.The distortion always occurs when i move the Cross fade slider. I don't know anything to try. Let me know if you think of anything.

Can you tell me if switching off the keylock option does remove these distortions?

And when does audio dropout occur? When playing streaming tracks? Or local tracks? When doing a loop? FX ?

The keylock was never on. The distortion occurs whether it is on or off. i am only playing local tracks. The distortion occurs when a track is playing without effects. It also occurs when i move the Cross fader.

In Advanced Settings, you have a section called "OpenSL Mode".

Can you tell me if it is set to "Default" or "Async" ?

If it's default, try to put it on Async, just in case

Sorry to read you're having problems. Did you try to use the options as suggested.

If so, please give some more info. Is this exactly the same or else describe your issue in your words. Would also be good to know what device and android version you're using.
