I use sometimes the great Software CrossDJ on my Android phone (Galaxy Note 3). Very nice stuff. Yesterday I bought the -- U-Mix Control Pro 2 -- Controler to use this with my phone via usb.
fact is:
You can connect the U-Mix Control Pro 2 with otg usb cable to your phone and activate the U-Mix Control Pro 2 in the CrossDJ settings. It works without any problems. Very great handling wirth the Playlist Jogdial, faders, effects, loops and controlpad for the music to pitch / scratch. BUT ....
I want to prehear the next track with my headphone to mix .... normal for a DJ while the other track is playing.
the U-Mix Control Pro 2 has a headphone connect but it is still quiet :-/
You can push the headphone butten "a" and "b" and it lights in green or orange. But no sound on the phones. I have the audio output only on my Handy sound-out 3,5mm jack to my Speakers.
Do I need the split DJ Cable with dual mono? Without prehearing is the U-Mix Control Pro 2 not usable for me.

In the manual on page 26 there's a internal mixer mode that looks perfect for this usage, not with a Notebook but with an android phone via USB. It seems that no audio signal is transmitted to the U-Mix Control Pro 2 via usb port.

did the U-Mix Control Pro come with a software install cd ,, if so the licence key on it can be regerstered in the fourm ,,

That's not nessesary for this answer but there is a CD in the package of the U-Mix console. There's no serial number in my Android Software whitch I bought in the playstore and whitch I want to use.
I can post my Mixvibes DVS serial number again here, from my old timecode system. Works fine since 2002.

i know this is not the answers you where looking for ,, just trying to get you to realise that you have paid for something and will lose benfits from it if not regerstered ,, also for the licence key # for the DVS software ,

not familiar with the android set up ,,,to be able to give any helpful info ,

Yeah, thanks. Thats the reason why I post here :-) It works !! I test it yesterday @home. I bought a umc2. awsome DJ Control. Later I make more tests and wait for an answer about my headphone problem.
(And post my Serial )

yeah ,,, hard too see a long time user that hasnt regerstered and still has access/possion of the licence keys ,, if you are still using DVS and now venturing to Cross app ,, then you have the Cross DJ software via the u m c p 2 ,, shame to waste it

.... yes this feature ... audio over USB otg to the U-Mix cont 2 pro. When this is possible the U-Mix Control Pro 2 and CrossDJ roxx like no other !
For me now, it don't works :-/ so I can't use this stuff, only my CrossDJ on my phone :-)

Sorry , I came back from IFA.

So, we support MIDI Control for U-Mix Control Pro, and U-Mix Control Pro 2.
But sadly, we do not support the audio interface yet. It should come when Android L will be released ( because Google should implement the USB audio interface support with this)

HOWEVER, like every other updates we have on Android: How many devices will be updated to Android L ? That's the question.

I hope your galaxy Note 3 will receive this update.

Yeah, I also had this problem.
My mixer solves the problem, if I connect both outputs with a splitter cable.

But until U-Mix Control Pro don't transmit audio, I'm not happy
