Pre-cuing

Postby jnb on 14 Aug 2014, 01:55

Having issues precuing music while in bluetooth on my S3 Android.

Advanced settings is telling me it needs to have a DJ cable connected to function and gives me an option to 'Force', which does nothing.

When i attach a cable or headphones to my audio jack it works great. Pre-cuing corrects itself and mixes on its own thru my playlist but without a phone jack connection its useless.

Is there something i am missing that can correct this issue?
Where i can have my playlist play, without having me "attached" to my phone ready'ing the next track?

Please help
thank u

Hi,

Unfortunately, Split mono/external mixer is only intended through wires.
It's because Android is behaving differently with bluetooth and we are not handling internally the audio through bluetooth

Sorry for chiming in that late here, but I just started with using Cross DJ pro and somewhat expected it to deal with a situation, which I would regard as pretty common: having the pa plugged in the audio plug and precueing via bluetooth headphones.

I can imagine, that this might not be that easy to realize, since android usually does the audio routing on its own, but the outcome would be worth the trouble.

Let me know, if you consider this as a valuable feature, and might even consider implementing this one day.

Cheers

The new Android M allows for having 2 stereo outputs using the OTG connection.
Maybe one day in future Android will make it possible to use various output channels at once... Likely any DJ app will have it build in hours later...

Hallo, I did not unterstand what to do to have STERO Pre-Cue and Stereo Output with ANDROID M.
May I use a Stereo Audio Split Cable ? (1 Stereo to 2 Stereo out)?
or it is available only using UTG Port? In this case, what I have to plug in the OTG (USB) port ?
Thank you for help and answers,

A stereo splitter splits the L/R mono signals into 2* L/R. So you can e.g. use 2 sets of headphones to listen to the same music in stereo.

A DJ splitter splits the L/R into mono L and mono R signal. Next it does is split the mono's so you have L/L and R/R output. (so stereo effect is gone). You can have a Main out and a Cue channel.

If you connect a usb sound card with 4 outputs (2 stereo) to the OTG port you have the solution.
Many modern android devices have functional OTG ports. However your specs will have to tell you.
