Skin

Postby Kenny Powers on 26 Feb 2014, 01:15

Hi,

I have a new 8.3 inch tablet is there any way i can get the full size skin on this? The screen is plenty big to show all the controls.

Is there any chance of releasing a scaleable full skin option so users can choose if they want the standard skin or the full skin?

Thanks

Could you share a capture of your screen.
This is typical example of why the Cross DJ app is developed in small steps. Many tiny differences between devices, and new device features still to come.
The team will have a look at the options to have larger size some more supported.
Likely skins will not be made available to users. It is seems nice, but in the end it is hard for (average) users to sync with future developments, especially on a fast changing product. It also makes development more restictive due to compatibility, as the past has proven to MixVibes.

Audio dropouts? Increase audio 'buffer size' value.

Soundcard not available/working? Try the 32bit version of Cross (is also installed).

Thanks for your reply, I will take a screen shot later and post it up along with details of the device. If you need any testing done I would be more than happy to help.

That looks like the 4-7 inch layout. Same on the xperia z1 and old nexus 7. Gets better on my new 10 inch lenovo tablet.

I just noticed on the skin the buttons are in the wrong order on the left deck Its CUE PLAY SYNC On the right deck its SYNC CUE PLAY should it not be SYNC PLAY CUE or PLAY CUE SYNC on the left?

Every order has its pro's and con's. If you look at different programs you'll notice various orders and even various functions present in the buttons.

Sometimes Cross changes the button order on a new skin (= major release). Time will tell.

This is on purpose, you often want to 'cue' with one finger and then push play with another when the track is in the mix. That's better not have to use different fingers depending on the deck side. The only question in this is however the sync button position.

I'm left handed at one side only :D , try to use 2 hands to have most sight on screen/mixer. So using same fingers should mean having buttons mirrored.

I just checked the Apple Skin and it's CUE,PLAY,SYNC on both decks as it would be if you bought 2 separate decks.

I just find it confusing if you are used to hitting PLAY on the middle of one deck and when you hit the middle button on the other its CUE.
