I would like to be able to take a sound file from another app (DJay) and use the iOS service "Open In" to open it in RemixLive, but this doesn't seem available, is that true?

I have paid for the file open service in RemixLive and also paid for DJay, DJay offers this into a competitive app (Launchpad).

Otherwise I have to make multiple steps and go via a laptop - currently I don't have such old-fashioned technology with me anyway :-)

Indeed, in this case you will then loose your analysis files + cue points.
