my friend told me about this and i thought this would be helpful. I personally haven't tried this so if the product isn't as promising as it sounds, don't blame me. but if you don't have much ram, i think this is worth trying.. and all you need a very inexpensive flash drive :!: :!:

ReadyBoost is a component of Microsoft's Windows Vista operating system. It works by using flash memory, USB 2.0 drive, SD card, CompactFlash or any kind of portable massive flash storage as a drive for disk cache.

read more here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ReadyBoost

i'd like to point out

A system with 512 MB of RAM (the minimum for Windows Vista) can see significant gains from ReadyBoost. In one test case, ReadyBoost sped up an operation from 11.7 seconds to 2 seconds (increasing physical memory from 512 MB to 1 GB reduced it to 0.8 seconds).

thank me later

I'm using a 2gb flash drive from Costco, I can definitely tell there's a difference when I run a lot of programs at once.
