Although Vestax made no official communication on it, the recent VCI-100s have received a firmware upgrade. this upgrade answers the 'ramp up" issue reported by the first VCI-100 users. - Basically the sound staled for a split second after releasing the jog wheel making all real scratching and drop mixing impossible -
Distributors have been selling the VCI 1.2 since Xmas basically and in 95% of cases there is a green sticker on the back of it.
NORMALLY the firmware upgrade is free and should be performed by your reseller or local Vestax distributor. It's a tricky process so we don't recommend doing it on your own.You can get more info on your VCI version by asking your retailer or contacting Vestax support
