in theory, maybe. but in reality, laptops are mainly plastic a conductor. Laptops have travel power supplys. How come using a laptop in another country or country with no ground doesn't kill people? If you are really unsure, then my advice don't do it. But i do it. Lots of people do it. Its personal choice. Its like the problem with record wear, some people just take the risk with needles, settings and stuff because at the end of the day there is always pros and cons, if you want to play safe, then don't bypass ground, set your needles at precise height and weight, use an s arm turntable etc.
But if you are willing to risk, record wear, needle wear, sound quality, and electric shocks in the name of music, making music and being part of the art of djing, then bypass ground
