ground problem ???

Postby wantedvibes on 17 Oct 2007, 13:04

Hey

i m using the y cables to split the output from my turntable 's . One to the soundcard, others to the mixer .

When i use bypass in mixvibes or using my turntables to play vinyl i hear a little peep tone . Ground problem ???

The ground of the cables are connected to my turntable's like you normaly do .

Can it be that the ground proplem is coming from the soundcard ? Can you fix this whit a power cable to the soundcars . USB connection not enough ??
I m using a laptop .

The sound is not that hard but it has to be perfect

I've heard of this problem recently but never experienced it.

have you tried connecting your TT ground cables to the ground connection on the U46Mk2 ? I suppose you have muted the monitor outputs in the U46Mk2 control panel too.

I meant that you should check in the U46Mk2 windows control pannel (lower left corner icon) that the MONITOR outputs be muted or that there volume is brought down to 0.

But that is probably not the problem.

Apparently the sound card is emitting a little white noise. You are probably righ it sounds like it could be a powering issue. Have you tried plugin it in yet ?
