not sure where u going with this but you have to let windows install a generic usb audio card for your u46mk2
then after windows has complete the installation, you should see USB AUDIO on your device list

To get to Device List, you RIGHT CLICK on "MY COMPUTER" and select PROPERTIES
Go to HARDWARE->DEVICE MANAGER
Browse to Sound,Video and game controllers

You should see USB AUDIO in that list (*this is without the U46MK2 driver installed*)

until this stage, if you confirm you have a USB AUDIO... then you proceed to installing your Driver ..

and hope that the "error to load asio" doesn't come back and haunt you again

Hi there !

I've read the entire topic but i'm not sure of which driver you finally installed on your computer...

Anyway, 1.0.26 is impossible to use... (sorry for that !)
Under win XP, as far as we tested it, ESI 1.0.16 works fine (as advised above).

However, its quite strange mixvibes says "no asio driver" if you installed 1.0.16... Be sure your U46MKII is connected and ON (i know it's quite obvious...but... !).

Anyway, you can try Asio4All (http://www.asio4all.com) as follows (if it doesn't work, i think it's not a driver issue) :

note: don't uninstall existing U46 driver to keep the contol panel, otherwise (if your use vinyl control) you could be disturbed by hardware direct monitoring which can't be disabled without this panel !!

1. download latest Asio4All version
2. install it
3. connect and turn on your U46MKII (if not done yet)
4. launch asio4all control panel
5. be sure your U46MKII is recognized (if not try clicking load defaults)
6. be sure your U46MKII is enabled otherwise select it and click Enable
7. be sure your U46MKII is running (green highlight)
8. choose the latency
9. run mixvibes
... You shouldn't have any error message...
10. in Options > Sound, select ASIO
11. in the device list, choose ASIO4ALL v2 (device number = 2)
12. click Setup and check the outputs (change them if wrong)
13. click OK
14. try to play music !!!!!

Let me know if it works or not !

If it works, 1.0.16 should also work. But you can choose to keep Asio4All as long as it works !
Otherwise, no other idea for now... but we'll make everything possible to make your installation work.

good luck !

I think now you should tune a little.
Less latency might be possible (smaller buffer in ESI configuration panel)
Setup in absolute mode with 0 pitch of your cd or turntables with time code.
Check the percent of good time code received on the vinyl options.
You can use attachment file (at the bottom of the post page) in your next message to join a snapshot of your vinyl setup to receive more help. (not bigger than 250 KB). This will show the picture to every one.
