Can't get my preferences right!

I had an ION Discover DJ turntable and a set of speakers for Christmas. I already had a Y splitter allowing me for 2 audio outputs but every configuration I try gives me the wrong set up. It does not allow me to preview songs using my headphones because it counts 1 speaker and one side of my headphones as 1 output and the other speaker and headphone as the other output. Any advice how to sort it out? Thanks

Search the forums, this has been posted and answered more than two times. Sorry for being rude, but if you read this "issue" three times a week you get tired after a while. Do not want to blame you, but please search the forums!

Ye no worries mate but just to clarify what I want in completely simple colour coded terms: I want both grey leads connecting to my master while both red leads connect to my cue. I can't find the same problem anywhere unfortunately :frown:

Mac or PC?

PC: use ASIO4ALL and two audio interfaces - one for the master, one for cue

Mac: Search the forums for the tutorial of how to aggregate two audio interfaces on MacOS

For PC. Because every preference I try comes through both my speakers and headphones so I'm unable to preview tracks without them actually heard. Problem!

How about your hardware? Does it have an integrated two channel audio interface? If so you can use this one. If not you need two audio interfaces which you can aggregate with ASIO4ALL. I am no expert for your hardware, I do not own it and never saw it, but if it does not have this integrated audio interface you need to get one to be able to cue tracks.

You need to use the split mono routing mode from the audio preferences with your cable.
