Hello,
I work on a laptop with Windows 7
I have Mixvibes 6.16 working well. I downloaded the 6.411 version and ran the install to upgrade the 6.16 to version 6.411
I also have activated the software.

- I tried to install the upgrade in the suggested folder “Mixvibes 3dex” next to the folder “mixvibes6” from the older version
- I tried to install with no mixvibes installed at all
- I tried to install upon the mixvibes 6.16 into the mixvibes 6.16 program folder
After successfully installing and activating, I want to launch the software. I always get the activation dialogbox with a choice for manual or internet activation.

Any idea why the update doesn’t want to launch ?

If you have Mixvibes DVS or Producer, you shouldn't put the upgrade into a 3dex folder.
Choose the common folder you're using with your Mixvibes to apply update.
The update won't work as a standalone you need the cd version to start from.
Was the 6.16 already an update or a cd version ?

Hi,

Mixvibes6 version 6.16 was bought online as a download-version and not as an upgrade. Hence i don't have a cd.

When installing version 6.16 it creates a folder "mixvibes6". When installing the upgrade it creates a folder “Mixvibes 3dex”. So I tried with both separate folders, I tried to install the 6.411 upgrade as stand alone, I tried to put everthing into the same folder, but none of these worked, so for now I stick with the 6.16 version.

The reason I keep trying to upgrade is because I hope to have my BCF2000 connected (see my other post)

So the base installation is a 6.16 into a Mixvibes 6 folder. Ok
Upgrade 6.411 shouldn't create a 3dex folder, unless you didn't take the good version and have a 3dex update.
Hence your non upgrading status...

DVS PRO doesn't exist in version 6.16 as it's born with version 6.30.
Your software made in beginning 2005 is the equivalent of 3dex software, you have no access to any DVS mixing or high level MIDI.

Activation can be done if you stop (combo box in vista and W7) or put in lowest level (slider in W7) in windows users configuration panel the user automatic control UAC
