however from searching on the internet,
i cannot see any phono inputs on that device, can someone help me figure out where i would have to connect the turntables exactly?

Hi,

Vfx is compatible with MixVibes timecoded vinyls/cds.
Vfx Control doesn't own 2x stereo RCA inputs, you need an additionnal soundcard to plug your decks

Check this one : http://www.mixvibes.com/content/u-mix44-0

Thanks
The video is slightly misleading I woul have thought
But anyway I do own a U-Mix44

Currently I'm using virtual DJ and Hercules rmx
I find that i can achieve better latency with Hercules so I am consIdering buying Hercules trim 4x6 interface

Do , is it realistic for me to want to use the Vfx Control with Hercules & virtual DJ ?

Or am I going to have to use it with mixvibes only products ?

Just a thought, why don't you just download the Vfx software from the Main site and use your Hercules RMX to contol the software. I believe it's possible

Also with using the RMX it is possible to use Timecodes with the controller as it has a built in ASIO soundcard and right amount of inputs/outputs.

I use the Hercules Trim 4-6 for my Timecodes. It's a Mint interface ;)

Hi, you need to have a soundcard to control Vfx with your vinyl as Vfx Control does not have audio inputs. The U-MIX44 is perfect as you already own it!

Thanks for your answers guys

I need to give the full story here

I'm putting together a mobile DJ setup
And I have room for a 3u rack controller & I want to be able to use timecodes (some of the time)

I already use rmx for timecode but it's too large for my flight case

I already have the American audio dp2 & I love it but it's rejecting my other sound devices , I cannot use it just as a controller , seemingly it's all or nothing with the dp2
so I started googling
That's how I discovered Vfx Control which look more or less like the dp2 but claims to allow what dp2 does not (a second sound card)

But because I have a busy month ahead followed by a holiday I don't want to learn to use another software til I come back in October

Which is why it suits better to try & integrate the Vfx Control into my current setup w virtual DJ & (maybe)make the transition over to mixvibe software later

No mate.

Just Cross with my 1210's or CDJ 800's.

I can get down to 2.2m's using the Trim with no Sound drop outs or performance issues :) It's a proper good soundcard
