Reloop Spin 2+ with Cross 1.6

Postby Faizel M on 23 Jul 2011, 10:52

Hi Peeps,

Does anyone have a opinion/experience with running the Reloop Spin 2+ with Cross 1.6?

I am looking to add the Reloop to my gear (american audio mp3 flex cdj's + mixer) coz I'm not to fond of using the laptop keyboards , and would really appreciate any inputs.

Regards

If it is "just" for browsing the collection and loading tracks in edcks or using the markers and effects I would recommend the Norg nano Kontrol - cheap and effective!

Cheers,

Steve

Hi Steve,

I Had a look at the Korg Nano Kontrol and I am not looking to get one of those. I rather like the built quality of the Reloop spin 2 and its layout (of the loop, fx, browse and sync/match buttons on top of the MIDI).
It seems to be the only soundcard with this type of layout and the only one closest to the U-Mix Control Pro. Even though I do have a U-Mix Control Pro MIDI controller; I would like to link the Reloop Spin 2 (MIDI) to my extra DJ gear (Cdj's and external mixer)

Thanx any how

I've never tried the Reloop Spin 2, but it seems like a good quality sound-card with a couple functions of a MIDI controller. However you will have to map it with Cross as it will not be natively recognized in Cross.

@ community@Mixvibes.

Thanx for your input. I have however noticed that it is listed under the MIDI options in Cross, but I will nonetheless map it.

I will now try to get one. The unfortunate thing is that Reloop has not done a lot of marketing for this product in South Africa.

Cheers

Hello,

Just to be clear, if you are talking about:
- The Reloop Digital Jockey 2, then yes there is a mapping for this controller in Cross.

- If you are talking about the Reloop Spin 2+, it works also in Cross 1.6
