My questio is ...
1) Can I drag and drop short video clips on the audio thats playing. My answer is no. . And why is that not possible Pls tell me. I own VDJ Pro 7 and i can do that... I have about 10,000 motion CLIPS & what the hell do i do with it.. Tell me how to attach video clips to a running audio track. I dont wanna waste my time editing the clips on to the track.. or tell me how to save these clips on to the track through Vfx.

2) Vfx have only 17 EFFECTS in audio, when its mentioned OVER 20 Effects. Get some serious effects Pls... If u notice Traktor- One can actually create his own Atmosphere EFFECT by using 3 or mor effects... But in Vfx, I am not able to find the right ones to create that feel and move to the next track,when i want to.

3) Seriously , ive had the Vfx for 2 weeks + now.. But If i dont get an answer shortly... I WILL SELL IT AND go buy an S4 and stick to audio.

4) As for VDj Pro 7 .. IT sucks because it freezes and cracks when playing... I heard its good on a basic MAC BOOK though.. Windows.. Na.

5) I have posted my plight on the software to MIXVIBES some time back.. But no reply.. Support us PLS or tell us straight. Till now im not able to commit to a few video nights i have been asked to do.. Why.. Thanks to MIXVIBES SUPPORT.. I dont have the answers.

6) And PLS see that the audio on screen does not CRACK and move without the controller... Work on the SOFTWARE to run SMOOTH even without the controller...

7) U guys have done a good job so Far.. but Perfect it PLS.. Just try other softwares with track pad only.. they still run smooth.. What the HELL is wrong with Vfx..


Im serious about wht i hav to say & its for the GOOD of MIXVIBES Vfx... Come up with an UPDATE & KICK SOME BUTT or Ill make my choice & SELL IT...

that might be true BUT Vfx is the only Video d.j software out there that will let you link a audio EFX with a video EFX

I give you a answer to your post about MIDI controllers for the sampler in Vfx....so I'm piss'ed at you thinking that I'm a no-body

you say that Vfx is very un-stable when you are not running the Vfx MIDI controller........I tested Vfx from the start when it came out
and it was very stable for me running time code vinyl & my Vestax vci-100 & my edirol pcr 500 MIDI keyboard

Vfx is only new....so give it some time so the good people at mixvibes can get it right....help them, help you by posting what you think & what you think needs fixing

WAZZA - U did answer my question about the midi-controllers, yes, and I am truly thankful for that. The point which i said now was about saving the sample loops from the running track, DJ EGUN has helped me sort that out. Now i want to know how to take off the sample from the sample deck.

And the most important is how to make use of all the clips I have play simultaneously with the audio track? I am unable to drag and drop the clips on the audio track without the audio being replaced.

And when I use the Vfx software without connecting the hardware, it skips and jumps and I am unable to do proper homework without connecting the hardware.

the sample decks should have automated sync option to the bpm of the track.

Seeing the hardware, I know the folks at mixvibes have done extremely well with the controller cause I know for sure that it is THE BEST DAMN CONTROLLER IN THE WORLD. Hats off to Mixvibes for that. It is rugged and hardcore.

I just wish that the software is equally competant as the hardware.

I am pissed because I am not able to confirm many video nights requested of me because I am not able to find these out. That is why I want to know about it asap and I have already posted another topic earlier to this, but not one single reply on that.

First off, i am sorry to hear about your issue.
I'll try and find a solution for you. However I am a bit unhappy as i am reading that Nobody answered you from the tech support team to your questions, just for your information, we exchanged 6 E-Mails an i finally found a solution to your issue.

Anyway let's get back in the topic, i am reading that your Vfx is cracking. Have you tried increasing the latency in the software? Have you tried reseting the software to the default State, by going in the Directory of Vfx and hitting the Reset.exe document.

Give us some feedback about your issue.

I have reset & reinstalled about 5 times approx... I found that when a new restore point was created.. the Vfx was so smooth without the controller.... But later in the day , it started cracking in all its forms.... Eg: DB Levels, Delay in the Music bars , Any thing that displays motion on the page. I software alone without the controller goes crazy. That needs to to FIXED Sir.. Trust me.

I spend a lot of money & research on softwares over the years, & I LOVE this product for what it FEELS , LOOKS & what it can do. The controller is totally HARD CORE super good but the SOFTWARE matters the most. Ill tell u a list of things the software needs to have. Apply these & Vfx is NUMBER 1 for sure.

1) Must be able to DRAG & DROP MOTION clips on to running track . SMOOTH without delay.
2) Put a CENTER MARKER on the MIX WAVEFORM. For precise judgment.
3) Have BOLD GRID LINES ON THE TRACK WAVE FORM & MIX
COLUMN. To monitor easy.
4) The LOOP FUNCTION should SYNC TIGHT AUTOMATICALLY with the TRACKS PLAYED. THis helps in REMIX options on the FLY without wasting time perfecting it.
5) AUDIO EFFECTS to create an ATMOSPHERE like EFFECT is compulsory to change tracks when mixing at any given point.Eg: Like White Noise. Something like Beatmasher in Traktor helps . We Djs today wanna go crazy with our skills & the correct TOOLS rrequired.
6) Well designed Multi Colored wave forms to distinguish in a track.Eg Traktor Pro2
7) MIDI CLOCK SYNC is important to SYNC Vfx with anything.
8) BY the way PLS see that all 4 DECKS have a FULLLLL VIEW when opened...... & NO SCROLL BAR to slide down to view C&D decks . Compress i& FIT to one shot view page.
8) Also ALL 4 Decks need to SYNC IN PERFECTION.

Im sorry to b so direct but i want the best for Vfx... Not because i own it, but its different .
I was thinking of Buying the Traktor S4 & using Vfx for VIDEO only.. But Vfx has no MIDI CLOCK SYNC & Ill need another laptop. Its CRAZY.. Just perfect the AUDIO part & u will have people begging for more UPDATES ....

By the way , the audio latency is fine, all set,no problem.... It is the Vfx PAGE that CRACKS & MOVES anything in motion . Eg: wave forms, DB Levels,etc Anything that has motion on the PAGE.. Something is wrong.. It should work smooth without the Controller, but does not.

The SOFTWARE stand alone without the controller is not perfect & smooth. PLs check on this.

Until an UPDATE on Vfx, its me back to Audio only... & im not too happy with that too. . I honestly dont know what to do. I normally run 4 tracks on Traktor Pro , remix LIVE most of the time & Use the right effects in combination to bring in or remove a sound or Loop.They all just fall in place correctly ON TIME.
When i hear people mix 1 track to another even with the right point of mix & using the right Octaves in music.. Its an OLD story & boring.
DJ Richie Hawtin & DJ Umek inspired me & changed the way i DJ today. Its hard work but i can never turn back..

So ,to make this possible, the software has to come together perfectly & let the DJ concentrate on a MIND BLOWING set.

Dell Studio 1557 , Core i7 2.80 GHz, 4GB DDR3 1333Mhz , 512 ATI 4750HD Dedicated graphic, 500 GB HD & Win Home Premium.


By the way , I want to use my VJ motion clips on a running audio tracck... I have about 10,000 clips on various formats. When i drag & drop a clip in the video blank screen where my audio is playing.. It stops the audio & shows the video clip only... I want to drag & drop these motion clips on to a running track.
Is there any way to do this pls. or tell me how to save these VJ clips i have , to a track on Vfx....

just an idea, why don't you use the 3rd and 4th decks for your motion clips while running audio tracks on the 1st and 2nd ones ?

Unless the SCROLL BAR is removed from the side, which is used to view the C&D DECK in full.. I can try ... But its difficult to do so when i need to throw the clips on a certain beat count, because the Cue & Play is only viewed when i scroll down for C&D.
All controls should b seen one shot in Full when 4 Deck are opened & the side scroll bar should not b there.. This would make it perfect to operate 4 Decks in one shot... Not using a scroll bar... Pls.
Mixvibes has to come out with a 4 Deck Skin, that is compressed to a full view.. This is what i call perfect.

Have you tried reducing the resolution of your screen in order for you to have a better view of your 4 decks.
