Have you tested to uninstall the device via the Device manager? this is the best way to remove the driver for a product. Sometimes you can uninstall the driver but some data are left at your system and they can cause problems. When you uninstall the device via the device manager from windows these driver fragments are deleted too. Then you can install the new driver and plug the device in the system again.
Otherwise if you have installed too many different drivers which are not removed correctly you have to install your computer again with a fresh windows. (but I would test the first part first!^^)
Btw. Which processor do you have? Intel i-Processor ? 2000 series?

But that device manager, is that what is in dutch 'Configuratiescherm'? If so, i always delete programs in this.
I have an Intel Core i3. But i don't get it, Traktor finds the U-Mix 44? i can play with it, with some cracks but it works?

hey,
ok at the configuration windows of windows there is also the device-manger and there you can uninstall onboard and plugged devices. There is also the software manager where you can uninstall software which is installed at the computer.
Often it is not enough to uninstall the driver via the software manager. You have to uninstall the device via the manager too to get a full uninstall (depends on what you have set at installation -> install everytime you plug the device in, one time and so on) So the driver is located often at the windows directive too to get a perfect user support.
So check your device manager and uninstall the device (you can see it normaly only when plugged in!) to get unplugged installed devices you have installed you have to do this:
Open a command line Enter ‘SET DEVMGR_SHOW_NONPRESENT_DEVICES=1′ Enter ‘devmgmt.msc’ Click View, ‘Show hidden devices’
