Auto Gain, again and again although deactivated

Postby Blackbrook on 07 Jul 2011, 23:08

Hey all,

I have installed Cross and the U46MKII on my best friend's brand new machine:

- Intel Core i5 460M
- 4GB RAM
- optimated for audio
- UAC deactivated
- internal audio interfaces deactivated
- nothing in the startup except Microsoft Security Essentials and the U46 Panel

We have the problem that if we open a collection and import tracks without gain analysis (deactivated in the preferences) it works fine first. Saving the collection and restarting Cross the tracks are amplified while loading a track into the deck. The information needed for the auto gain should not have been analysed and the auto gain should be deactivated (due to the fact is IS deactivated in the preferences) but it is not.

This is weird because even the info should not have been analysed and therefore not exist. He is using Mixed In Key and so I thought that it is writing into the tags, but when loading the tracks in the collection first there is no info in the tags about gain.

Maybe the checkbox in the preferences is broken? I do not know and would be happy about anyone that can recreate it. I will try it after sending this post.

Thanks a lot in advance!!

Cheers,

Steve

EDIT: Same here! It has worked when I have tested the release notes and now I have realized that the track gain is active although it is deactivated in the preferences. See attached picture!

Steve, I'm sending you a link to a Vid via PM I did to show the Dev team my problem. I think it may be related to your friends problem.

If it is, I can tell you it's indeed a bug and the team are working hard on it. I PM'ed one of the Dev team to ask about it
