I would recommend something bigger and more powerful than a netbook. Although a lot of vendors get more powerful devices into the small machines I would stick to a casual laptop.
As said Steve, something bigger and more powerful might help. A netbook is a computer that is used to go on the internet. I would advise to use a real notebook to use the U-Mix.
