MIXVIBES Dj Community old forum

A while back I upgraded my PC. Now I want to install MixVibes on my new PC but cannot find my CD. sales@mixvibes.com tell that that is OK to download another copy (I registered my product on the forum when I bought it so my serial number is up there in my account etc). When I download the 7.218 update, it install OK but does not run - it gives me a "Bad Installation" message. sales@mixvibes.com tells me that the update is a fully runable product and that I don't need anything else. It doesn't look like this is the case. Any ideas?

As far as I am informed the updates are not "fully runable" and you need the CD version as a basis. But I can be wrong too.

Please write a mail to support@mixvibes.com with your problem, maybe sales@... is the wrong adress?!?!

You have to order a CD from MixVibes, they'll provide you with a CD.

slightly off topic, purched my Cross software off the downlosd shop/paypal no cd or hard copy was ever gotten, nor back up the software. what is the possobilities of getting a software cd also for Cross any info can either posted in this post or contack by pm. thank you

From what I know there is "just" the Cross Installer on the delivered CD that you can download in the "Download Center". No need for trying to get that CD daniel

i bet he just wanna have a fancy mv/Cross logo cd to show off at his friends

that would be one thought but not the case still have the cd for home bought back in 2004 still in its original packing and the purches order and delevery confirmation slip have the unzipped files from 1.32cross to 1.54 still on computer if computer fails have no other recorse but to try to get a copy of software from mixvibes sometimes limiting your options limits your outcome

agreed on having as many backups of our stuff as we can (i mean between the limitations of sanity ) but since the download option will always be there (till the end of the world i guess) i dont see the point of having every single install on cds (apart from the before mentioned showing off ). you only have to go to the dl center anytime you need to reinstall your software
