Weird problem [Solved]

PostPosted: 20 May 2011, 19:38

Hey guys,

I am helping a friend with his DVS. So we have the problem that it does not work - the timecode is not recognized by the software. I have completely reinstalled DVS and the audio device three times to different locations, deleted registry settings and all the stuff we are always suggesting users.
Finally it does not work  The weird problem is that if I click on bypass, we can hear the timecode, it is routed through all soft - and hardware to the mixer. Deactivating Bypass and trying to calibrate does not change anything. I am totally out of ideas!!!!!
We have tried the Cross demo and also virtual DJ without success.

We will post a config report!

Thanks for all hints, tips and tricks!

Cheers,

Steve

Hey,

I have a silly question but have you enabled Phone in DVS?

Christian

christian is right, the phono-preamp is disabled.
I´d also try different carts.

maybe it´s a problem with the u46 internal routing, a look in the panel might help :?:

hard to tell via i-net....

We have tried with Phono on and off - no timecode was recognized.

Changing carts is an option. We will try it!

Cheers and thanks,

Steve

btw.: we could switch to german, just germans in her :D :P

What do you mean? In the panel the inputs are switched to phono and no matter at which volume level it does not change anything :-( Timecode is hearable when we connect the headphones to the phones output.

Steve

We've double checked it and switching on Phono is unfortunately no solution  Thanks anyway!

I can not believe it ... IT IS! So many problems using DVS ... first his USB bus was broken, then he got a new machine and now have a look at this... Oh damn!

I will borrow him my Hercules DJ Trim 4&6 for testing.

Thanks a lot for you help mates! I really appreciate that!

Cheers,

Steve
