Having paid a fair amount of money for this product, i opened the box and went to install.

Firstly there is no UK power supply adaptor.
And secondly where is the serial number?
I cant find it on the CD as stated in the manual, its a see through plastic cover (if its supposed to be on that) and also this forum, is a bit hit and miss in where you can search for information and support.

Not happy at first impressions.

It is usually on the see through plastic cover you have mentioned. Please check if it fell off and is somewhere in the package

The forums search works good if you are asking me. There are additionally Tips & FAQ threads in every language with a lot of informations in.

Thumbs up for the quick repsonse, however ive just checked all the packaging again and there is no serial number whatsoever.
there is a number on the unit, but not on the cd or in the back stuck to anything.

Yeah i guess there is adaptors, but why should i go out and buy adaptors.
Most equimpent now comes with an array of adaptors supplied.

What is the next step to get a serial number?
I was going to use this in a setup this weekend.

Hi mate,

I got my Vfx a couple of weeks ago via Pixmania.

The serial is indeed on a sticky label on the clear plastic cd sleeve, if that helps narrow things down for you.

As for the power adapter, it took me a while to find mine - it was hidden in the end of one of the polystyrene bits of packaging, held in by packing tape. Pretty well hidden in fact.

Pixmania left an EU to UK 3-pin plug adapter in the outer box they sent the package in.

Where did you buy it from? Usually this is your first shelter.

Once again, thanks for the quick replies.

I found the power supply adaptor straight away with no issues.
I've looked high and low in the packaging, however the bag which holds the usb cable, rca cables, warranty leaflet and the cd itself was all sealed, so this must of been like this from factory packing.

The only sticker which is on the plastic sleave is the round security seal on the flap.

Ill give the company i bought it from a call in the morning when they open, but i hope this gets resolved.

Was wanting to have a play with it tonight/tommorow night at work.

Surely there must be a way of Mixvibes as a company be able to match the product's box number with a software serial number or issue a new one?

To me it seems that it could be a lot of hassles and maybe sending the products back (which are now opened) for a sake of a few numbers.
