Please tell me if I understand this. The record button in mixvibes produces 3 recordings: Deck A, Deck B, and the Master mix of the two. But, the Master mix, isn't actually recording all the cross-fades and eq and 'DJing' I am doing with my mixer, but rather, it records all activity from both decks; -even when I'm cueing up a track in my headphones!?!

If I want to record my set, I need an external recording system that I need to output my mixer to?

Tell me I'm just doing something stoopid! Cuz if not, what a frustrating flaw in the software! Do other software function the same way?

yes you have to route it from your mixer to different recorder.
But afaik it´s planned for futuer releases.

So for now just take a stereo-rca to stereo-jack cable to connect your mixer and pc-line-in and use some simple software recorder.

HAs never given me any issues so far.

Thanks for the reply! Kinda figured that was the solution.

Any recommendations for recording software that sounds okay, but doesn't use a lot of system resources? (my weak laptop is sputtering along as it is -lol)

I used Audacity in the past for this kinda thing.

Agree with JimB, Audacity is the best recording software, the quality of the recording is really great!
