Hi There.

I'm running Cross 1.5.2 with my American Audio Flex 100Mp3 cdj's and a Maya 44 usb soundcard.

My problem: I cant use my cdj's effects (flanger, filter, echo) while running it with Cross. Is there any solution ( how can I use my cdj's effects while runing Cross.

Please help!

Hello,

if you are using the CD player's effects you just manipulate the timecode that should not be recognized properly then.
You can use Cross' internal effect with your mouse or a MIDI controller like the Korg nano Kontrol for example which seems to be the cheapest solution.

Cheers,

Steve

Thanx man.

I'll first see if I get any joy in manipulating the timecode.

What Steve is saying is that you need to use the FX's in Cross rather than the CDJ's ;)

If you try to manipulating the timecode signal by using the FX's on the CDJ's all you will do to your timecode signal is weaken it, so the signal percentage will decrease with in the software, you may even lose the signal all together :(

@boc. Thanx for making things clear. I'll definitely consider this akai and maybe looking at upgrading my mixer. What mixer are you using and what is the akai priced at?

at home i have a 100 years old Numark mixer that has no effects but i myself am not really an effect guy so i dont need this feature. most clubs have the Pioneer djm 600-700-800 ones which have very nice built in effects

the akai lpd8 goes around 50 euros/usd so its not a too big investment to extend your setup with such a great piece of equipment
