Cross: One player is freezed suddenly

I was working with Producer since 4 years, last year I switched to Cross.
My set up is:
Dell Inspiron 1520 with vista
Cross 1.5.0
U 46 MKII with Esi Driver U46 v3.0
Vestax VCI 100

Some months ago I switched from the Mixvibes U46 driver to Esi due to speed problems with the players. This problem did not happen again.
The new problem is, that during a set, one player freezes totally. When i push the play button, the play and the cue button on the screen are blinking alternately. The only way to go on working is to quit Cross and to start again. Then there are no further problems with the same player and the same track!!!
As you might imagine, that sucks and is not professionel. It happened two times yesterday. With two or three gigs each weekend I don`t want to go on with this mess.
Strange is, that I am not always working with this set up but also with two Pioneer CDJ 400 with a Pioneer CDJ Asio driver, that means, without U46MKII.
With the Pioneer and with the Pioneer driver that means without U46MKII never had a freezed player.
Any idea?

Could you please update to the latest version of Cross, 1.5.2 and see if you have this problem again ;)

When this happen can you swap outputs from deck to deck into Cross ?

If you can try a mix @ home to spot the faulty one :
- VCI 100 with audio on CDJ ASIO
- CDJ400 with audio on ESI ASIO

I have a similar problem using Cross DJ 1.5.5

This morning I had it twice at my PC and Yesterday at my laptop once.
It happened on both deck A as B.
The buttons of the deck responds "like it should", however the track does not start (no move in any wave visible).
In all instances it were tracks that where initially loaded from the collection (and so where analyzed) and started immediate (before analyze is finished).
The third time I did not restart Cross DJ, but tried the same track in the other deck, this worked OK, then restarting the first deck still did not work. After loading another track in the deck this played OK. Finally I reloaded the "wrong" track in the same deck and it worked OK.

The laptop only had its keyboard as controller, the PC MixTrack Pro and keyboard.

hey,

i can reproduce the problem. when loading two tracks the same time, both are not analysied yet, one playerstarts playing while analysing and the other will not start. first i thought it was a faulty file but now i read this threat and i think this is the same problem. the player works after loading a new file.
Cross DJ 1.5.5. at Cross 1.6 i have this problem not and can't reproduce it.

regards
Christian

So when you update Cross, do you still have the problem or not?

I tested it as decribed on Cross DJ 1.5.5 and Cross Beta7. Under Cross DJ I can reproduce it mostly. With Cross 1.6 beta I can do what I want and it is not stopping. Everything is working.
