UK46MKII no signal !

Postby sebko on 17 Apr 2011, 01:33

Hie,
I have some issues with my mixvibes Cross since I've buy it it doesn't work very well:
I've well plug my turntable and sometimes it works I've the signal sometimes i've to close Cross and re-open it to get the signal !

The worst is that: Cross suggest me the uk46 but it doesn't receive the signal !

I've check my vynil, my cartridges , my rca I don't understand .
Is there any solution it's driving me crazy i can't mix actually ?

P.S. sorry for my bad english I'm French.

Hey Sebko, can you give us more details on your computer configuration. Also if you are having issues with your U46MKII here is a list of possible solutions out of your problem. Hope this will help you out!

- Please use the latest driver U46MK2 v3.0. You can find it in the Download Center of our forum.
- You can use the ASIO4ALL driver if you feel better with it (http://www.asio4all.com).
- Both drivers work with MixVibes software!
- If you have more than one driver installed you will run into a total disaster!
- If so, make a clean uninstallation of all your useless drivers:
- unplug the audio interface
- uninstall every software entry of your audio interface
- use CCleaner to be sure that nothing is left in the registry
- if you’re an expert, you might do this manually without CCleaner.
- reboot
- re-install. Start the installer. Use a totally different location/path (i.e. was it formerly installed to ‘C:\program files\MV’ use ‘C:\MV’) to prevent old links that are left.
- follow the wizard's steps - plug the interface in when the wizard says, not even earlier.

By the way, MixVibes is a French company, so you can post in French ;)

Ouaipe sauf que le support technique est en anglais ;)

So,
I've had the exact same issue I think.
I posted everything here : viewtopic.php?f=268&t=19942 but no answer for the moment.

This problem occurs on another laptop, and I think I know where it comes from.
Try unplugging every usb devices (and especially any mouse/keyboard), and replug your soundcard on another usb port. Does it work better (you might have to reboot)?

I think something is wrong with the power of the u46mk2 or the usb, but buying an external 9V DC Power solved the problem (about 20€).

Ah ok,

English is by the way better if you want to have non-french people help ;)

Cheers,

Doubt it, what solved your problem was most likely a new-install or a change of usb-ports, but the 9V adapter only powers the phantom-power for mics, but not the actual u46mk2 itself. whitout usb-connection but 9v adapter the u46mk2 wont even power up.

Hey there guys...

I got the same problem as the first post in this part of the forum.

I have a very recent macbook pro with all the recources needed.

unfotunatly since the beginning I'm having problems calibrating my vinyls because I can't get any signal.

I started of with one of the first versions and of the software, then I didn't have any problems, now with the latest update it's just impossible to get any signal...

Did smth change at the configuration of the programm?

Or maybe I remember smth the wrong way.

What is the right configuration for using U46MKII with vinyl on a macbook pro.

Please help me asap because I need the programm on next saturday!!!

Thanks a lot for your posts!!!
