i received my U-Mix Control Pro today and when i used it the first time it worked perfectly. However when i went to use it again a few hours later it wouldn't work. the lights flash when i switch it on but none of the buttons seem to be working. Shift, select and the mic input on the front all light up when pressed but thats it. i think it could be a hardware problem because i can still use the Cross DJ software using my laptop. i even uninstalled the softwared and reinstalled it as if i was setting the whole thing up again but it didn't work. everything is the way it says it should be in the manual.

Something has certainly changed into your configuration :
- do you still get audio ?
- go to preferences/MIDI can you see a tab with the U-Mix Control Pro ?
- when you touch a button does this tab turn green ?

Okay it seems to be working fine again. I just uninstalled Cross and the controller, reinstalled it and it seemed to be okay, it's strange.

It stopped working again

I do still get audio but I have to control the software with the mouse on my laptop. When i go into preferences/MIDI it says "no MIDI device available. Please connect your MIDI device."

I think the problem might be my laptop after all because I tryed the controller on my desktop computer and it worked fine, I used it for about an hour with no problems. Any idea why it won't work properly on my laptop??

So you're loosing the MIDI only ? Not the audio...
Can you give me the detailled specs of both computers ?
