Hi can anyone help I have bought the ion Discover DJ system which comes with Mixvibes Cross LE version1.2.9, installed it on the PC and all works fine can mix tracks from iTunes etc, but because the PC has only 2 channel audio, when playing one track you can't cue another track as it plays through the same output, so I have purchased a 4 channel sound card c-Media CMI8738 (from Maplin where I bought the Ion discover DJ system) disabled onboard audio, installed the card and can play iTunes on PC and get sound out of front and rear channels again all good. Unfortunately the Cross LE software doesn't see the audio card [Preference>Audio] I can set up Dual Stereo but it shows << No audio device >> if I select c-media PCI Audio Driver or primary sound driver which are both shown I get Error opening aux (c-Media PCI Audio Device) "Generic Error" [OK] which isn't very helpful. Does anyone have any clues, any help much appreciated. Thnx
I looked to install the latest Cross LE software as a first step but couldn't find it. also looked on the forum for c-media and again couldn't find anything. All of this is for my 12 year old son, so I don't want to have to start buying expensive additional kit as it may turn out to be a 5 minute wonder.

BTW I'm no sound engineer so can the answer be very simple, thank you once again. Darren

First you should install the update for Discover : downloads.php?cat=55

You can't use the dual stereo routing without asio drivers.
So install the asio drivers for your soundcard. If it hasn't got any, use ASIO4ALL.
