Hi, need help please!

I have a U-Mix Control (old one, not pro) and i dont know how to configure it in Cross DJ 1.5.0. with mac os. I can see MIDI out in controller but cant use it to control. Please help.

if you are pressing any button or move a jog wheel is this recognized by your software? Does MIDI data flow? Is the unit installed completely/properly?

All is conected and properly installed, this afternon try it with a friend who have same mac as me and teh controller run on it. Its strange beacause i cant even map MIDI with any program in my macbook but we could on his.

The software dont reconginze any move on the controller, but the controller recognize the moves on the software

What does this mean exactly? Can you give me an example?

If it works on your friend's Mac which is similar to yours then I would suggest that it is a bad configuration of your Mac. Is there a way to rebuild the system?

First of all thans for the attention.

That means that when I start the mixer software and the MIDI controller is conected, when i click the buttons of the software, for exemple, i click on "cue" button, the light of the Cue button in the controller turns on, so the controller is recivieng, but when i click cue button on the MIDI controller the software dont responds, nothing happens.
The configuration of the software it's ok with the Mixvibes U-Mix Control, and MIDI on and out is activated.

We spend a lot of time trying to fix it and we hadn't any results. So my friend propose to me to restore mac to factory settings. I would like to know if there is another posibility.

Did you select the correct mapping in the MIDI preferences page ?

Normally, it should be automatically seelcted but it might fail if the controller is not perfectly recognized by the system and given a bad name ...

yes, it is. I don't know what's happening, maybe some software is interfering the MIDI in? Don't know what to think

Look if both check box 'MIDI in' and 'MIDI out' are enabled.
Did you try an other usb port ? with an ac adapter ?

Ok, this is strange.

First of all, yes, MIDI in/out checked both, usb ports checked too, and usb cable cheked too.

today I spend all afternoon with my friend, who produce and has same mac as me. We both have a Macbook 13", his of 2008, mine of 2009. After try, a lot of things, we decide to switch hard drive. And here begin the weird. We put my macbook's hard drive in his macbook, and the mixvibes controller works on it. Then we put his hard drive on my macbook and it works too. So this is strange, the only combination that dont work is my hd in my macbook. Also we try conect his Numark total control in my macbook qith my hd and it works!!!

In summary:

- My macbook with his hard drive: works
- His macbook with my hard drive : works
- My macbook with my hard drive: don't work, however de Numark works.

We didnt found any logic in this error and we think this is really strange.

any idea? I'm really upset.
