Hi guys,
Newbie here again. Does mixvibes Home edition 7 support m4a files? 'Cause I want to use my iTunes library but when I drag and drop the m4a files it does nothing. Thanks again, fly.

Hey,

I don't know if it is the same to DVS 7 but check your decoder.ini if there is this line:
Code: Select all
.aac .mp4 .m4a      ; dshowaudio decoder

And you must to install a m4a decoder to play them.

Have you installed an m4a codec? For example from mediacodec or something else? Then it normaly should work.

Thanks man,
I didn't read the whole of your first post. I'm not very observant.
Thanks the 'media codec' worked.

No problem. Have fun with your product.
And if you have another question don't hesitate to write a new post or a thread. You're welcome!

Hi all,

I have a new MacBookPro and just downloaded CrossDJ. Unfortunately it doesn't work with all my titles I bought with iTunes (m4a). MP3 files are no problem. I can't believe I need to convert all titles to MP3.

Any idees? Thanks in advance!

Please enter your Cross DJ serial first (required to get support).

Then, Cross can read m4a files but not protected files.
Check yours.
Otherwise, converting them to another format (mp3, wav, flac, ogg) will do the trick for sure.

Cheers,

I don't have a serial because I bought it in the Apple Appstore.

Hi All,

Same here. MacBookPro user. Purchased Cross DJ in App store (no serial) and there is an issue with playing iTunes m4a files. Other formats no problem. And converting the iTunes files to another format is not an acceptable solution because Mixvibes makes the following statement (and the reason I bought Cross DJ in the first place): "The iTunes® integration is also one of Cross DJ’s most unique features: Cross DJ fully assimilates your iTunes® library allowing instantaneous playlist importation!".

Therefore, would appreciate MixVibes' help in solving this issue.
