Hey,

I have an Intel i5 520M. That is the 2,4GHz version. I have the DVS 7 with more than 82000 titles tested on it and it works fine. No stoppings of music and also the application.

to the Graphics of the i5 520M: tested with Crysis and working at low settings without stoppings.

regards
Christian

Hey UncleVibes,

my problem is that nearly every controller with an integrated audio interface crashes. I have tried with the Vfx Control and the U-Mix Control Pro and with every setting (latency, sample rate) and with different drivers (Original drivers, ASIO4ALL) in different combinations the controllers crash.
It are (!) the internal audio interface because I can control Cross and if I record the noises and crackles are not in the recordings so it is coming from the internal soundcard. Yesterday the Vfx controll crashed for the first time and my ears nearly exploded because the crackles and noises were so loud.

There are - as wazza already mentioned - problems with Intel i-processors and USB 1.1 audio interfaces. I have checked my vendor's support page (Toshiba) for new chipset drivers and all the driver stuff. Every driver is up to date. I am running out of ideas...

Testing with the Hercules DJ Trim 4&6 in combination with the U-Mix Control Pro or the Vfx Contorl as controller only I do not get any crash. The Hercules DJ Trim 4&6 is a USB 2.0 audio interface - maybe that is why it works.

I was asking for your help in here to see if there are other users with the same problems but as far as I can see I am the only one. It would be awesome if you could provide your chipsets (Christian & UncleVibes) - mine is a Intel HM55.

Thanks for your help in advance!

Cheers,

Steve

Hey,

Oh ok that sounds not good.
I have the Intel QM57 Chipset.
And on my last test with my U46Mk2 it works fine. I have two older soundcards here. I can check them too tomorrow. Today I'm not at home to do that.

Christian

I have just posted my problem in the official Toshiba support forum. Maybe they have a clue.
PartyVIBES recommended to sell the laptop ... this would mean a loss of 100€ and even more ... no real alternative to me :-( It works, but not with controllers...

Cheers,

Steve

Hey,

have you the newest chipset driver from Toshiba or directly from Intel installed?

Ok,
they are realy new ;-)^^. I will test tomorrow my old cards if they work. When they not work it seems to be a problem to the hole family of the chipset.
