MIDI Mapping

How do you use the MIDI learn function and how do you manually map decks/controllers?
I am trying to set up a pair of Gemini CDJ-203's and am having a bit of a hard time getting it straight. I normally use vinyl, but I thought this may be worth doing since I do own a pair of CDJ's.

Hey,

first of all create a new file under the Mappings and set the name like "gimini CDJ deck 1". After that you can click on the button "edit". There you can add and remove commands by hand.

There you set up the command like player 1 cue. The selected entry is now in the MIDI listen mode. When you now push the button there should be appear a MIDI note in the first row. You must create 2 lines per command. One with the MIDI command where you press the button and one command where you released it.

Then the button should work. But this you can also do with the MIDI learn function. Enable the MIDI learn function. After that go to the button you want to add. hold the cursor on these button. After a few seconds (normaly 2 seconds or so) the button should light up in a like silver mode. Then you press the button on your MIDI interface. When you know press the button and on the DVS it is dark blue it is mapped.

I hope it will help you.

Christian

Cool will give it a try this weekend thanks Christian. Yeah I tried to use that yesterday and on one of the decks I had no problems for the most part, but the other one was giving me a hard time, such as my play button somehow got mapped to the pitch bend.

I have read your post and i have another question for you.
In the screen mappings there are a lot of options for the functions of the player, how can you add one.
I want to add the function "extend auto-loop and shrink auto-loop.

Is This possible?
