MV crash!

This is the problem: Whilst using MV, suddenly music changes into a loud buzz. A few sec later program stops & the message "MV DVS has encountered a problem and has to be stopped..." pops up!
If I open my MMC (microsoft management console) and look into the event logs, it says:
MV crash.txt

I haven't got a clue what that all means, so I looked further in different maps on my laptop. Unfortunatly I couldn't find more info but I did stumble across a txt file in the Mixvibes DVS map. It said that the program can only be registered once!
Perhaps this is the main reason of my problem, because I didn't knew this when I installed MV the first time. (Isn't mentioned in the manual!!!!!!!!) Because I installed & registered, but whatever I tried it didn't run properly on my laptop. After a lot of troubleshooting I discovered that the Ghz value of my laptop was to low (laptop was 6y old). So I uninstalled & deleted everything, placed the 'DVS pack MK2'-box in the cabinet and started saving for a new laptop. One to use exclusively for MV and nothing else!!
A few months later I bought a new Acer Aspire, one that fulfillfed all minimum requirements.
Program ran flawless,I used it on several occasions, playing several hours in a row and never I experienced problems of any kind.
Until recently, after downloading & installing the update for MKII driver. Usually I download files to old laptop and use stick for transfer to new one, unfortunatly that evening, in a impatient and lazy mood I tried to speed up things by skipping some steps. :(
Made connection to the internet with MV-laptop and whilst opening the program the "register software" message popped up. Has happened on numerous occasions but without internet connection the procedure stopped, until then. That evening I did register, or should I say, re-registered with a different machine. From that moment on problems started occuring at totally random moments. ('Luckily' for me always at home... ) I've already disconnected laptop from internet but that hasn't changed a thing as the problem keeps occuring...

That's why I'm here, cuz I'm starting to get desperate!
Is it possible to unregister my old laptop?
Or perhaps is something else causing the program to crash?
Plz help me...!!!!
Thx...

In addition to all of this which can only be answered by Support@Mixvibes or other official mixvibes members can you please post a config report? This might help too. Unfortunately I can not help you but I doubt that it is the registry procdure that is causing the error. I guess it is a driver related problem. But you should wait till Support@Mixvibes answers this thread.

Sorry!

Cheers,

Steve

Code: Select all
Sound Configuration
--------------------
Nb Sound=2  Nb Mixer=0
Managment Type Multi Channel
Device=Luidsprekers (U46MK2 Audio driver)  Latency=100

You are using your audio interface in multi channel mode and NOT in ASIO. Please choose ASIO and continue testing. ASIO is a low latency audio driver.

Cheers,

Steve

Heyhey,
so I changed the settings of my audio interface,
beginning by uninstalling all other audiodevices & drivers, audiosettings back to default. Reinstallling ASIO4All, UMKII device & latest driver.
Just had some doubts in where to install to: program files or prog. f.(x86)? I installed in (x86), same as first time.
Then I checked the forum for setting up ASIO4All in the best possible way, followed guide step by step.
Untill I encountered problem during install wizard: guide says to choose ASIO4All-soundcard, but if I do so, I'm unable to locate my 2nd CD player. Select the other soundcard (MIXVIBES U46MK2 ASIO) and rest of setup is piece of cake. (=my choice)
All this resulted in:
config.txt

Started testing and only time I experienced some difficulties was when I starting first sample during a normal play. Same problem as before, loud humming noise, but only lasted a couple of seconds,no crash this time, then program jumped out of freeze-status, played both sounds and I could continue as normal.

Hey

I have this crazy sounds too on the first play on the first seconds. So I looked around where my problem could be. The solution was that my tts (I saw you using CDs) had no Ground connection to the U46. I also bought a external Power supply for my soundcard and it is now better. The first second there is still a little sound but only the first second. After that it is now working perfect.
Mybee you have the same problem or a little different problem.
