Hi, I just got the ION DJ Discover and was supprised to see theres no MIDI mapping to use this with MV7. Ive use Cross LE and wasnt too impressed so im hoping MV7 will do a better job but isnt there even a way to take the MIDI mappings from Cross LE and use them in MV7, im very suprised.

Alternatively, is there a similar product which has MIDI mappings on the forums which i might start out using and update as necessary?

I hope someone can help me, i dont fancy spending the next week mapping everything

No because it is is sold with Cross Discover DJ and thus don't need mapping.

Both can mix and deal with your tracks.

No it isn't because they're not compatible at all (MV7 & Cross).

Similar to what ? the software or the controller ?

Ion decided of what they would like to have on their device and then ask us for a software to work with what they have designed : we did.

If you absolutely need to redo the mapping then go for Cross DJ.

Erm No i brought the controller to use with mv DVS which i already have. You arnt seriously saying Cross le has the same functionality and that I should stick with that.

What I was asking for is a MV7 MIDI mapping for a similar controller that might help me out. Sometimes different hardware manufacturers use the same base hardware and so might have similar mappings.

I didnt realise that Cross and DVS were such different software, i assumed (it looks wrongly) that if the discover DJ came with Cross then it would certainly work with DVS. If im going to get a hard time for wanting to use it with mv7 and noone else has mapped it then i may aswell take it back and get one that is supported :(

No just saying that the device is intended to work with Cross LE and if you don't want, then there isn't mappings for other solution.

I don't know about Ion product on what it is based, so try into DVS and you'll see with which one it seems to work.
Then from there mod the file to use the Discover.

I still didn't understand what feature of the Discover DJ is into DVS7 and not in Cross LE.
What do you need exactly that Cross don't do ?
