So i bought a Vestax typhoon installed it then upgraded my DVS to Cross 1.5 (1.5 is the only one available i can find). I set everything up but there is only MIDI mapping for the typhoon for Cross 1.4 (which doesnt work). I did try and create my own MIDI mapping for Cross 1.5 but it wont save and still nothing works. All that works is play/stop and tempo control. I didnt see any updated MIDI mapping for Cross 1.5 and the typhoon in the download center. So basiclly i cant play, and i dont understand why it wont let me do the mapping myself! Also the tracktor software works fine with the typhoon so i know there is no problem with the controller. all drivers and software is updated as well. I would post a config report but i cant seem to find it in the Cross program. any help would be great! thanks

You can't create a config report with Cross It would be nice if you fill in your Cross serial into your profile.
Did you copy the existing 1.4 mapping into the 1.5 directory? Or did you try to copy the 1.5 mapping in the MIDI tab?

Just put the serial number in, thx forgot about that. Well i never had Cross 1.4. But i did try the mapping that came with the Cross 1.5 (Vestax typhoon 1.4) and i also imported and tried the mapping from the download center as a separate mapping. they both are the same (Vestax typhoon 1.4). they both dont work.

When you are pushing a button or moving the jogs, does this change anything in the Cross preference's MIDI tab? This means that Cross gets MIDI signals from your typhoon, if not there is something wrong with the connection between your controller and your computer.

Yes it says it is online and it recognizes all the knobs/jogs etc. Even when i make my own map for like the Cross fader it recognizes it as the Cross fader and allows it to map it. but then it doesn't work on the typhoon.

This is more than strange!!!! When you map the crossfader and move it, what happens in Cross? Nothing? Does the crossfader in Cross does not move?
Oh what I was thinking about while reading: When you map it in Cross and move i.e. the crossfader in the software, the real crossfader in your hardware WON'T move!!!!! I am not sure if you thought of that?! I saw it in different bigger studios where they could do both.

It will let me map it fine, and i know it wont visually move in Cross when i move it on the typhoon. but it will not work at all, when i move the Cross fader or move gain anything etc. nothing happens to the sound. Also when i move the gain on the typhoon i can visually see the volume change on Cross but still nothing happens to the sound. just before i uninstalled and reinstalled Cross tried every angle again. still no luck, its doing the same thing.

is there a way i can get a Cross 1.4 download link until someone figures this out or until someone makes a Cross 1.5 typhoon MIDI map?

So everything works, except that you can hear an effect on the sound. Lets keep this in mind:

- your MIDI controller works
- Cross works
- both are connected and MIDI messages are delievered and processed

This is a really strange behaviour! If you change the gain with your mouse in the software does it affect the sound volume?
