No sound heard from PC speakers

Hi everybody,

My girlfriend gave me a Numark iDJ3 coming with MixVibes Cross. I'm working at home as a DJ, for broadcasting and recording, but once I setup all the hardware, no sound is hear in PC speakers. I have the cue in my headphone, that's all. The worst, I can record the music from both side, I can hear them after, but now WHEN I'm mixing... so I let you guess how bad mix can be with just the cue. I'm working with Win 7 Athlon Dual Core with a Sound Blaster Audigy SE. All drivers are up-to-date.

How can I hear main music in PC speakers, as well as keeping my cue in my headphone plugged in the iDJ3. It's a USB hardware, by the way. If I can't, there's just one thing I can do... a refund. :/ It's not the first time I worked like this, but iDJ3 seems to not be the good thing for me.

Anybody can help? Thanks.

By the way, it's ok if the lights turn off on the iDJ3 when I start up Mixvibe? I guess not

It is good to have an audio interface with two stereo outputs to deal with this "problem". So you can assign one Output for the master and the other one for Cue. When I googled your audio interface I found this one:

So you have to set up your software that way that you send out the master via Line Out 1 and the Cue via Line Out 2. This may solve your problem.

From what I was reading in the support threads it is normal when all the lights are off. If you push a button the light should start shining. But I am not sure. Does it work the way it should? If so it seems to be normal ;)

Thanks for the answer. I know about the sound card, and I'm using RCA-to-jack cable in the Line In, like this one

But I guess I need to do something in Windows config to hear the master. In Mixvibe, I have this configuration

As far as I can see you have to choose your Soundblaster Audio Interface!!!! You have choosen the iDJ3 and I had a look at the hardware: there is just one output and the back of it. Try to change it that way that where "iDJ3 ASIO Driver" is written you select "Soundblaster Extigy SE" or something similar. So you should be able to use the outputs of your extigy on the bottom to send out master and cue.

Steve

I didn't understand what is the soundblaster doing into the setup ?
The IDJ3 work out of the box with the master at the back and the cue in the headphones on the front.

@Support@MixVibes

You mean I really need to use the RCA cable from the back of the iDJ3? The USB cable don't do the job? I mean, if I can record the mix, I guess the sound come in the CPU, so why I can't hear it from cpu speakers?

Nothing seems to work, so I'll try some others thing this week, and friday, if nothing works, the iDJ3 and MixVibe will return to the store for a refund, and I'll stay with my good old stuff ;)
