Mixvibes Producer and Vfx controller

Okay, I got my Vfx controller and installed the software. I can drag and drop the songs with the mouse but the Vfx just sits there with the lights blinking. So, I shut down Vfx and open Pro 6.6. Still no action but a little static out of the head phones. I figure I better down load the update to Pro 7 so maybe it will give me the Vfx controller as a choice, but I can't find it in the download section. The Vfx looks like it will be nice if I can get it to work. I don't want it for video. Just for Audio control. When Vfx started it did say that my video card was not compatible. I'm hoping that the video card won't matter if I'm not doing video. The screen looks fine and the program does work. Just the controller doesn't. I also restarted the computer with the contoller in the on position to see if it would load into Pro but no good. I have faith.

You might have an issue with usb drivers conflict. Try to uninstall your webcam if you have one.

Don't have a webcam so that's not it. If need be I will use the laptop with Producer on it as a backup with the DMC1. And use the newer laptop with Vfx as the new show.

I loaded the software to a different, newer laptop and everything works great!! What an excellant piece of hardware. I will still try to get the controller to work with the other laptop.

The one I have it working on also has trouble with the video driver. Mobile Intel (R) 945GM. When Vfx loads it says that it is not compatable but if I click load anyway it works fine.

Kudos to another Great Mixvibes product.

I got the Vfx controller to respond by disabling the laptops sound board to free up an IRQ address on the older pentium centrino laptop. I will probably stick with the newer laptop instead, but its good to have a back up.

Next question, I was able to fill the lower half of the screen with the media base window and the Vfx skin would move to the top of the screen. Now I try to do the same thing and the mediabase window covers half of the Skin. Its no longer moving up. Is there a way to drag the Vfx skin to the top or bottom of the screen? Any ideas? I have the Skin file set to Vfx simple 1280. Also on the skin, the top part where the lapsed time is, the numeric display is to large and only half of it is visible. Can that part of the screen disply be enlarged? Or can the portion below it be made shorter. I will not be using the video portion. The frame that goes around the portion of the dispaly that is dedicated to the video display, album covers, seems to be covering the lower half of the lapse time and BPM display. Even the channel number is to big to fit in the box. Can I change the font size to see if a smaller font will fit. And last question for now, Can I reset the screen to where it was on the original istall before I started moving boxes around?
Monitor is 1280X800 and is set as such.

Didn't knew that was still happening nowadays !
(remember me the old ISA slot soundcards)
I might add this to the 'non detected device' syndrom.
Thank you very much for remembering me this lost art

A print screen would be better, on the new upcoming version, the width is now dynamic so this will probably solve your display issue.

Support,

Once again I am having a problem with the Mobile Intel 945 GM video chipset not being compatible with Vfx. It was working if I installed it anyway, but now if I install anyway Mixvibes shuts down. If I don't install I can use the program and the controller.

I did solve the issue with the Numeric display beng to large to fit in the boxes for elapsed time, BPM and channel. It was the DPI I had the screen set for. The only problem I have now is when I'm not using Mixvibes the dpi on the screen is to small unless I change it and d a restart. I guess a new laptop is inevitable.

The more I use Vfx the more I like it. My wife hasn't seen me in days! And with the heads phones on I haven't heard her in days. Nice!
