I'm not familiar with MixVibes DVS 7 (maybe Steve aka Blackbrook can help) as I use Cross but I've used the Maya44 sound card in the past

First of all are you using "Line in" or "Phono" When using CD's then "Line in" should be used

Check to see the input sliders on raised up to the top on the Maya44 control panel.

If you are using the HD TCCD's then the signal may be to loud and you might have to back off one notch (from the top) on these inputs.

A screen shot of the of the Maya44 control would be helpful.

Also what OS are you using and are you using the latest drivers from the ESI site

No problem mate, we will get this problem solved ;)

First of all can you post a config report? Just go to "Preferences" and click "config report". Copy the text and paste it in here. Thanks!

Are you using the Win7 Maya drivers? http://download.esi-audio.com/?w=esi&p=40&g=2&l=en

When the config report is posted and we can not figure out what is the problem a reinstallation would be another chance to get it working. But let's wait till you did that.
If you did not install the Win7 driver please:

- uninstall the current driver
- disconnect your maya
- restart your computer
- start the driver installation of the win7 driver and follow the steps in the setup wizard

Follow these steps! Otherwise it may come to a corrupt dirver installation and you are in front of hell's gate ;)

Yes, you could do what Steve has recommended and un-install and re-install with the latest drivers your Maya44 sound card.

So it's time for a config report ;)

Due to a party I will not be able to have a look at this till sunday evening/monday, but I guess that there are others that may help in the meantime ;)

Greetings,

Steve

Check the inputs signal level.
