This is not my post but I am having what sounds like the same problem.

Using the instructions to import music in Discover DJ <File -Import - Directory>, I select 'Music' from the directory (below I can see all of the music listed by artist} and click 'OK'. The import window pops up but quickly goes away. It is not getting past 13% complete. The Collections window is not populated with any information.

I'm running Vista and my music is all rip'd from CDs using Windows Media Player. wma is what I see listed in the properties of a song file.

Please Help.
Thanks

I am also having the same problem!

I have a new ION Discover DJ Computer DJ System with mixvibes software and a Numark interface soundcard. I had no problems downloading the software for both, but I am unable to download any audio tracks to the DJ System. I have tried clicking on FILE, Directory, Playlist and every possible choice, but no luck. The music files are ripped from music CDs, using Windows Media Player and I have a Windows XP Desktop computer. I got this for my son for Christmas and we are both so frustrated because we can't even use it. ION Audio tech support placed me on hold for 30 minutes and then took my name and number to call me back later because of "high call volume."

Hooray!

I just got a call from "Joe" at ION, and to download audio tracks, you must convert them to MP3 files. Windows Media Files WILL NOT work. A useful website to convert existing windows media files to MP3s is www.jodix.com

Happy Djing!
