To everybody in the Forum.

My Problem is as followed:

At the moment i have editing my mp3s with mp3tag and i will give them a command also bpm and my personal genre. And i will use them in DVS 7.
So what happens now. I was installed Cross. I was load the same folder into Cross. So now i have to analyze the mp3s again that you will see the Mixvibes Logo when you was analyze the peak and the file. So if Cross will finished this process he will delete my Genre Infos. But not at all mp3s but a lot of them. If i will go back to mp3tag to check the folder. I will see that of sure the Genre Info was delete. So i have to rename the genre again. After that i go back to Cross and read the tag again and now it will stay and not will deleted.

So how comes that some of my mp3s are will be deleted in point of my Genre infos when i will reanalyzed the mp3s.

Thanks For help.

Did you save them (Save Id3-Tag) in MixVibes DVS? If not then nothing will be displaying except in DVS.

I use mp3tag 2.45a and this is what I have done :
- open mp3tag and put acoustic as genre for 6 tracks in a folder
- record tag (very important because mp3tag don't do it automatically)
- close mp3tag
- open Cross 1.4
- import folder
- sort by genre

My 6 tracks with acoustic are there.
Now analyzing them : the genre is still there.

Poertsch please try using a different mp3tag editor like mediamonkey. Maybe this is no mixvibes issue but a mp3tag editor issue?! It is worth a try ;)

They only way I know to reproduce such behaviour of "lost information" in Cross is to edit Tags while analysing files. Since Cross writes directly to the song files it may cause problems if editing while analysing.
If that's the issue meant, than simply wait until Cross has finished analysing (and this should not be changed since Cross is writing very reliable to tags - which is, to my experience, not everytime the case with MV ;) )

In MV DVS I do not see this behaviour since MV is not directly writing to files but to the database.

Kopier einfach deine Cross Serial in das Feld, wo nun schon eine Serial steht. Er löscht dann nichts, sondern fügt deinem Profil die neue Serial hinzu.

Copy you Cross serial into the field in your profile. It won't delete your former serials but add the new one.
