cd players stop then drag at low pitch like slow mo

Postby tonedog1 on 19 Nov 2010, 06:50

my stanton c 324s will play for awhile then stop or and drag at a low speed.like a movies sound in slow motion.when that happens i have to hit cd bypass on screen program, then click again and it will resume at start of track,im using DVS Ultimate on a acer aspire brand laptop with vista.interface is u44,with music being loaded on and using an external hard drive for music library..nothing on laptop,do you think the control discs could be causing this??they are not dirty.what range do i put the speed at on DVS program,192,256,or higher, not sure what you call these numbers .under soundcard options/control panel,do i need to turn off other soundcard as i am using asio.what is the correct way to load music to the program .if i scan it only goes to about halfway then i have to scan again to get rest of music library, also sometimes the scan process will freeze up during scan and say DVS program not respondingand i have to start over many times to get all music onto program.

Hello,
DVS closed use in DVS folder reset.exe
then reopen your DVS & redo all your setup.
Some of your music files seems to be corrupted (mv hang & close during scan) try to isolate them.
keep a high latency (256 samples=6ms) during your tests then and only then if it's ok on this range you can try to reduce the latency to 192 samples.
