How to set keys for the crossfader

Hi,
I just replaced my 1.32 Cross by 1.4.

Here's my problem:
Does anyone know how it is possible to set the shortcuts for the
crossfader so its function is as follows:

Crossfader standard value e.g. 50 (middle, or e.g. click by mouse)
"key left" >> crossfader value = 0 (Player A)
"key right >> crossfader value = 0 (Player B)

If the key is relaesed (key up) the crossfader value has to
move automaticialy to the standard value.

This was possible with version 1.32, how does it wor with Cross 1.4?

Thank you for the help.

  you are talking about the keyboard mapping :?: correct :?: briefly have played with the key board mapping,to solve lack of mouse control for the headphone volume  there are posting on that issue also trying to remap various function on the new key board learning aspect of 1.4  my best sugestion is to open the uneditable file/setting and try to compare then to whats in ver 1.32, and make the changes to a DUPLICATE file created  not shure of the exact perameters that are needed   not clear as to why the change wanted back to 1.32, to me it didnt seem to work right, 1.4 much better   this will become a lesson in trail and error to get what you want, have fun playing around and lets us/me know what you get accomplished,, if it works post it in the tips/tut section, aready started a post and any help/added info will be apriciated

Thanks for you reply,

Yes, they made complex changes while changing to 1.4

Any way. I tried out to create a keyboard mapping
which switches the gain on/off. This works, but the reaction
of the software is to slow  Scratching with the keyboard only is not possible with Cross 1.4

I switched back to 1.32 and I am happy again

Yes the behavior of the crossfader mapping have changed.
How did you map the gain for saying it is slow ?

Thank you for you reply,
sorry i didn't create a mapping for the gain.
I tried the mapping to toggle mute on/off for players A / B by pressing a key (e.g. Numpad 1/ 3 for Player A / B)
The toggling looks very good on the screen, but it toggles the sound
to slow for transformer scratches.

This is related to latency in this case, it is the time taken to have a response to your action.
What do you use as soundcard, drivers and settings ?

Sorry for my late reply,
i use a realtek onboard soundcard.
I have no special settings done. I use the system default settings.

The audio setting in Cross are:
Sampling rate is 44.1 kHz;
Buffer Size is: 2048 samples (46.4 ms)

You can't achieve scratching with such hardware and settings.
