while I was mixing track that I ripped with iTunes in m4a I was stunning because there are sound glitches. I made a sample for you that includes the track as a mp3 and the track as a m4a, here it is:
I have the "Satsuki Decoder Pack" installed and iTunes is running on my notebook. iTunes, MediaMonkey and foobar are playing the m4a without any problem, this is why I can not understand it :-(
Anyone? Thanks in advance!
Greetings,
Steve

Hello, it can be due to the compression level you used to encode your tracks, probably higher than the one used for music you bought on i-tunes store or for mp3 which are now easily decoded. As a consequence you probably have to change the latency parameter (increase the number of samples to increase latency and thus to let the necessary time for your processor to work properly).

Brilliant idea! I did not think about it!!! I will try it!! Thanks a lot!
EDIT: I could not increase the buffer because it was already on its highest position at 288 samples. In Cross I could increase it more, but I can only increase it in the ESI panel where the highest option is 288 samples. Recommendations? Thanks in advance!

We certainly have issue with some m4a because you're not the 1st to report such things... Send me a link to download the files. Thanks.

Hi there,
FYI, Cross doesn't use any third-party codec but its own built-in codec. Thus, whatever the codec pack you might install on your computer, Cross will have the same behavior.
As Mr. S requested, please send us the incriminated file so that we can check it on our side.
Moreover, the idea of the need to increase the latency is not stupid but i don't think it's relevant when you're not at very low latencies (288 samples is not a very low latency).
Thanx for the feedback!
Cheers,

Tested on my XP machine (my bench computer with bunch of softwares+av + fw) .
If you have any idea to make it skip as you did let me know.

Oh damn, this is sad! So it seems to be my fault ... Where should I start? Any recommendations? I mean everything works more than perfect just the m4a files. I could live with this because more than 90% of my tracks are mp3. Anyone?
Thanks Support for testing and taking the time!
Thanks in advance and greetings,
Steve
P.S.: sylMV did the tracks reach you?

I was testing into playlist mode (pitch 0). I'll try with extreme pitch change and different pitch mode...
