Driver differences and problems?

What's the difference between the
MixVibes ASIO U46MK2 driver
and the
MIXVBIES U46MK2 ASIO driver?

In the quick start guide, it says to use MixVibes ASIO U46MK2, but on my computer, it says that "MixVibes ASIO U46MK2 is already used by another program."

By using the MIXVBIES U46MK2 ASIO driver, the buffer size is 256 instead of 512 samples of buffer.

Is it a driver glitch? If so, how do I properly download a new driver?

Hi takeshi,

They're the same driver, but to adjust the latency with it, I've found it's easier to close Cross and adjust it in the U46 control panel. When you restart Cross, the latency will be changed. I don't really know why you can't adjust it directly in the software without the driver being obnoxious.

MixVibes ASIO U46MK2 is the driver installed with Cross Pack you can set the latency into Cross.

MIXVBIES U46MK2 ASIO is the MV3.0 standalone driver for all U46 users that doesn't own a Cross Pack and need to update them. You can set latency with the U46 panel in your dock.

If you have Cross Pack and install the MV3.0 you cannot use the included ones anymore resulting with the "MixVibes ASIO U46MK2 is already used by another program." message.

Which would you recommend? Should I uninstall the MIXVBIES U46MK2 ASIO? If so, how would I do that?

You use the one you prefer.
The only thing is that you cannot uninstall the MixVibes ASIO U46MK2.
To remove the other one (MIXVBIES U46MK2 ASIO) just go into your software uninstall panel .

So which one am I supposed to download?
