I admit I'm a bit perplexed. I haven't found anything yet on these boards to try and help, if I missed something, I apologize.
Anyway, the problem I am having is this: I can't scratch using the jog wheels on the Ion Discover DJ. The wheels work fine, I can use them as jog wheels perfectly. However, they don't seem to be working as scratch wheels, even though the led is lighted. I have tried restarting the computer, different usb and everything, but I keep coming back to scratching not working. Again, the wheels work fine (as evidenced by jog functionality), but I can't scratch. Any ideas? Running Windows 7, AMD 2.4 GHz dual-core, with integrated HD soundcard.

EDIT: In the 20 minutes I spent posting this and looking more on the forums, the scratches seem to work fine regardless of "speed/tempo/hybrid" modes. Is there a better fix than letting this sit for a half-hour at a time?

Did you press the scratch button ? or is it dead ?

I have the same problem, and the scratch button works just fine.

So what is happening when you are in scratch mode and you touch the jog ?

I think I have isolated the problem. I got me a Numark io DJ audio interface. Now I am able to listen to tracks. Live music now plays through my stereo and I monitor incoming tracks through the headphones.

When audio out from the IO is connected to my stereo, the platters don't work at all, but if I disconnect the rca from the IO to my stereo, the platters work perfectly.

What gives? Software or hardware?

Hardware for sure !!! The software don't have any kind of detection on the outputs plugs of a device.

Is it my macbook or the DDJ? Thanks.

Not the IDDJ if you almost got a new one.
