I have a brand new Macbook pro and Mixvibes Cross Pack and sometimes i have a few problems loading it up. I have the latest version 1.3.2 but it seems i have to open it a few times after i put the USB in for it to configure. When i first load it up it just makes a high pitched noise and the turntable's in the left and right top corners dont move. After about the 3rd time its fine. Any ideas?

PS. if i go into the configuration and try and select input 1-2 and 3-4 they are not there for the first few times it just says ----

Sorry i dont understand what you mean by this. Please can you rewrite this, sorry. The mac is brand new and does not have problems with the USB. I runs everything else off the USB at a fast speed. I have not got a 9v to hand but when i can get one i will try this.

Has anyone got any other suggestions maybe in the setting up side of things?

Did you try in every usb port you have ?
What I meant is that the card must be under powered by the usb port. If you have an active usb hub you can try with it too

OR

the soundcard is defective.
How does it work with an other audio application ?

I have actually had the same on going problem as the OP. Sometime things work fine and it loads right up. Other times it just doesnt recognize the U46MK2. I have tried:

reseting the laptop
different usb ports
powering on U46mk2, then plugging in USB and vice versa
resetting software with usb plugged in and also unplugged

basically all the combinations you think of. nothing seems to be the solution.

I also noticed that when I had the the U46 plugged in, I opened Ableton and it recognized it, but Cross didn't.

Ableton see it as asio ?

The drivers are integrated into Cross so as long as the device is seen by the system you should be ok into Cross.

Yes ASIO. That is why I found it odd that Cross wasn't recognizing it, but Ableton was.

As long as the soundcard is correctly detected by the OS/system, Cross can use it.
When this occur, check if the soundcard is in the device manager.
