[EN][MAC]iTunes wont update new info

No i havent bought a Mac, but my partner has.

I haven't really used Cross on mac, but it seems to work great so far - appart from stupid iTunes.
The problem is i transferred her old library, playlists and tunes onto her new Macbook pro's iTunes.
I then added a new playlist with important tracks on there, but the 'reload' function does not seem to 'refresh' the new files/playlists on 'Cross iTunes'. Its has on the external "iTunes".
I even tried making a different playlist, but that doesn't show up either in Cross iTunes.....Its like the iTunes in Cross will not 'update' new files added to the external program.
Any help would be great, as this is the way she uses Cross to DJ, and i sorta need a soloution ASAP as gigs are close.
Cheers in advance ;)

I am not shure about the iTunes structure but maybe the old iTunes library is different from the one on the new macbook. So you linked to your old library in Cross but the new iTunes uses the different library. I am not sure, absolutely not, but it is worth a try I think ;)

Greetings,

Steve

Thanks Steve.
Im thinking this is the problem myself, but i find it strange how Cross firstly found the correct library (the one i imported into iTunes), but will not update any changes made to that same iTunes library....I can only think that Cross is looking at some sort of duplicate library elsewhere on the computer :(
Can anyone tell me the default directory that Cross uses to search for the CURRENT users Library?
BTW, both iTunes are the same version on both computers (old mac and new mac).
Cheers

My bet is that the path between the 2 iTunes is not the same.

XP : C:\Documents and Settings\_\Mes documents\Ma musique\iTunes
Vista : C:\Users\_\Music\iTunes
Seven : (should be the same don't have iTunes there)
10.5.8 : users/_/Music/iTunes
10.6.2 : users/_/Music/iTunes

If your path is ok, try to delete/rename your Cross.settings file, you'll then restart from scratch.

I hope it works for you, because if you have to contact the Apple support you should better safe that time! I just finished a support chat because I have trouble uploading data to my friend's iDisk folder. The first guy could not help and I had to wait a long time till he answered. The "senior advisor" made ridculous suggestions (deinstall your av scanner - that will work 95%). Finally after I told him that I will never uninstall my av suite and after I have asked for the ports Apple software is using he asked if there is a question left. I think he has in mind that he could help me, but guess what happened? The used ports were already open so I am back with my problem.
A lot offtopic but you can see how good the mixvibes support is!!!!

Have a nice evening and greetings,

Steve
