Trouble with the recording flow

Hello, I'm using Mix Vibes Vinyl Ripper on my Mac. I'm trying to rip audio content from a cassette deck.
The problem I have is with the flow of the recording. The cassette plays properly on the deck, a continuous and smooth flow. But while it is being ripped by Vinyl Ripper, each 20 seconds, the flow is slowing and becomes jerky, as if half of each recorded second is missing.
My computer is not running any heavy program at the same time.
The cassette player is brand new and runs smoothly.
But I can see the flow (red line during the ripping) slowing down and jerking each 20 seconds.
What could be causing this problem ?
Thank you for your time.

Laurent

I'm on Mac OS X 10.6.3, which is the latest, I think.
I'm using Vinyl Ripper 0.9.1

Thank you.
