Windows 7 Edirol fa 66 drivers are Pissing me off...

on my old xp laptop.... I turn on my edirol fa 66 before I start my laptop
xp loads edirol drivers on start up...

NOT Window 7, 32 bit drivers ....you have to start edirol sound card after you have started the laptop & windows 7 has loaded up .......if you don't Edirol fa-66 will not work

after 3 days off hardcore setting up & testing this problem & banging my head on a wall trying to find a fix
[ it was a strange problem...mixvibes would see the edirol fa-66 sound card & its drivers { & the sound card in-puts & out-puts }
BUT get no Audio in-puts & Audio out-puts...
mixvibes pop-up says check vinly or/and needles

de-instill edirol fa 66 drivers....re-instill fa 66 drivers turn sound card off , turn edirol fa 66 sound card on again

And there you go mixvibes working good & stable...with 97 % time code
untill you turn the laptop off....or more like when you go to turn the laptop back on again.....DON'T HAVE YOUR EDIROL SOUND CARD ON BEFORE YOUR LAPTOP...OR IT WILL NOT WORK

So why am I pissed-off....I'm not pissed off at mixvibes software or at my edirol sound card or at my new HP laptop
I'm pissed at myself for wasting 3 day when all I had to do was read the edirol windows 7 32 bit asio drives release notes frist where it says On some computers, the driver does not load correctly if the FA-66 is already connected when Windows is started up. As a result, it will not be possible to use the FA-66 via FireWire®(IEEE1394). If this occurs, wait until after Windows has started to turn on the power of the FA-66 (or to connect it).
If the FA-66 does not work correctly after resuming from Sleep mode, you should exit all applications that use the FA-66, and then turn the power of the FA-66 off and on again.

would have saved me some set-up pain

Hard to hear that you wasted time but think of the saved time of different other users because of your post! Maybe this will clear your mind again ;)

Greetings,

Steve

Karma for that...

Fortunately, you have some knowledge and skill in computer, imagine a standard user telling me that :
"MV don't work, it a waste of time so he will buy a crash life".
