number of video channels/decks

Hi All,

Although I can create as many as 16 decks/players and control 4 of them at once, It seems I can only add video files to the first 2 decks/players.
Is DVS pro limited to having only video files on the first two players or have I overlooked some config setting?

As a sidenote: bpm detection works on video files in v.6, but v.7 does not calculate bpm's for video files (at least for me).

Cheers,

Robert

Thanx wazza for confirming the limitation.

Too bad the docs don't say anything about this.
Will have a look at Vfx.

Cheers

Thanx UncleVibes for the link to the Vfx demo-video.

One thing that wasn't quite clear to me is how switching from the first two players/decks to the next couple (3 and 4) is done.
Or does the controller (which strikes an amazing resemblance to the Synq PCM-1) have channel/deck-select button?

I've seen a screenshot of Vfx on the mixvibes site with 4 players/decks active. Does someone have a short video/demo where 4 video channels are used simultaneously?

I wonder if using 4 video channels will become available in future versions of the Pro(ducer) edition, or will this be something just for Vfx only?

Cheers,

Robert

It will be the next video demo...

Mixvibes Pro (Producer since 2008 & Mv7) is the father of DVS & now Vfx.

Video & audio is reliable on Vfx, with Mixvibes Pro video isn't as good, fluent, native... There are also no video effects no different video transitions.

If you want to do seriously video performances with video files, Vfx is the most creative & professional solution of today video software for live performance.

About the number of video decks of Vfx you must understand that Vfx video mixer only capture 2 decks at the same time. It can be deck 1 & 2 or any combinaisons of 5 channels (as the deck 5 is the sampler) by group of 2... Do you follow me?

  good work on the web page unc   is it going to be affiliated with mixvibes to the point of having a link to it on the fourm :?: the home page info is sorta generic and lacking in certain aspects that might be helpful in chosing the product that fits your needs   good to see vids on Vfx, a little more than my meager needs but enjoyed it any way
