If this ? has already been answered please provide link to thread.

*Using External Soundcard Route Mode
Should I use another?

What It's Doing:
*One of the selected songs plays outloud (out 1/2)
*The other selected song plays in headphones
(out 3/4 - Only If A/B Switch Is Pushed In)

The Question:

How do I bring the song in the headphones to the main speakers/out loud. When I want it to play out loud it remains in the headphones. How must I adjust the audio settings. Also shouldn't I be able to send either selected song to the headphones to be prepared for play.

ok, heres the crack my friend...

you have 4 outputs on your sound card that are setup as 1/2 and 3/4, respectively output 1 left and right, and output 2 left and right.

you should have set mixvibes to use output 1 for the master out (what comes through your speakers) and output 2 for cueing through your headphones.

you can set these properties in mixvibes by visiting, Preferences / Options / Soundcard Tab. Under Audio interface, using ASIO, from Output Device select your sound card, Number of output should be set to 2, then click setup.

ASIO Setup, Audio Output...
Line one should be set to your soundcards output 1 left and right, how this will show will depend on the asio driver for your soundcard.

Line two should be set to output 2 left and right, also using the bullet point on the right marked "Monitor". This tells mixvibes that your are using this output for your headphones.

click ok, then ok again... and you almost done.

lastly, make sure each virtual player is set to output on output 01, it can be different depending on what skin you are using but its normally marked with 01 or 02 somewhere, change them both to 01 and you are ready to rock...

hope this helps, if you need any extra help feel free to ask...

regards,
Bryan

Thank you so much for your help... I'm going to make those adjustments but can you clarify how to do the last part you mentioned? Thanks.

Not sure what Cross is? I have this... http://www.ionaudio.com/discoverdj

I just wanna figure out how to cue in headphones then release audio to main speakers. For some reason, as I detailed in my last message, its not allowing me too. I'd post a pic but I dont know how to upload it on here.

So I guess the sound card I'm using doesn't have 1/2 & 3/4 outputs. I have the Line 6 Tone Port UX2 and I am using Mixvibes Cross LE with Ion's Discover DJ. What is an affordable sound card I can buy that would be compatible to use the headphones for cueing?

You need a soundcard at least with 4 outputs : 2 as main and 2 as monitor.
